Performance Camp

Welcome to the 2017 Performance Camp at China Peak!

The goal of the performance camp is to bring qualified U-14 athletes together, provide a fun enviroment, and promote new and lasting friendships. By providing a competitive training environemnt amongst the division's qualified U-14 athletes we hope to inspire and motivate athletes to new levels. New to this year's performace camp, we will have Nick Cohee, World Cup starter, 2X NCAA All-American, NorAm winner, and bronze medalist in the 2015 U.S. Nationals. Nick will be overseeing the camp, providing demonstrations for drills and forerunning each race.

Wednesday March 15th, Arrival
3:00 PM - Athletes, coaches and parents can check-in to the Inn at China Peak
6:30 PM - Dinner
7:00 PM - Coaches meeting in JW's at the Inn
10:00 PM - Room check/lights out
Thursday March 16th, Super G
7:15 AM - Athletes/Coaches can load Chair 6
7:30 AM - Day Lodge open for breakfast 
7:30-8:30 AM - Warm-up in groups with coaches SG elements, stance, high-low tuck, rolled back, tall hip
8:30 AM - SG Course open for inspection
9:10 AM - SG Course closed for inspection
9:30 AM - First training run SG
10:30 AM - SG race
11:30-1:00 PM - Lunch Break
1:00 PM - Coaches take groups for afternoon training/free ski 
6:30 PM - Dinner
10:00 PM - Room check/lights out
Friday March 17th, Giant Slalom
7:15 AM - Athletes/Coaches can load Chair 6
7:30 AM - Day Lodge open for breakfast
7:30-8:30 AM - Warm up in group with coaches GS freeski
8:30 AM - GS course inspection 
9:10 AM - GS course closed
9:30 AM - Run 1 GS race
10:15 AM - Redress for 2nd run GS
10:30 AM - Run 2 GS race
11:30-1:00 PM - Lunch Break
1:00 PM - Coaches take groups for afternoon training/freeski 
6:30 PM - Dinner
10:00 PM - Room checks/lights out
Saturday March 18th, Slalom
8:00 AM - Day Lodge open for breakfast
8:30 AM - Load Chair 6 with group
8:30-9:30 AM - Slalom elements, narrower stance, strong knee/hip angulation, temp
9:30 AM - SL course inspection
10:00 AM - SL course closed 
10:20 AM - Run 1 SL race
11:00 AM - Redress SL
11:30 AM - Run 2 SL race
12:10-1:30 PM - Lunch Break
1:30 PM - Coaches take groups for afternoon training/freeski
6:00-8:00 PM - Dinner and awards at Mainstream
10:00 PM - Room checks/lights out
Sunday March 19th, Skills Quest
8:00 AM - Breakfast at the Day Lodge
9:00 AM - Load Chair 1 with group
9:15 AM - Warm up in gourps with coaches
9:30 AM - Skills Quest
12:00 PM - Break for lunch
1:00 PM - Athletes meet coaches at Chair 1
1:30-3:00 PM - Team event
